Today marks the 1 month mark for the release of my book BECOMING LOUD & BRAVE, & I wanted to take some time to say thanks to all of you who have gotten the book & taken the time to drop me messages telling me what it has meant to you.

First of all, I truly never expected to receive so much feedback so quickly from so many of you! I am doing my best to answer each one of you who writes to share your heart with me or ask questions about the book. If I haven't gotten back to you yet, please know that I am spending time every day to get through all of the responses!  

Now, what am I learning from all of you who are sending me messages about the book?  I have learned that my heart was leading me in the right direction in believing that there are so many of you out there who have lived through many of the same experiences I talk about in the book & YOU HAVE BECOME HEROES in your own story! You guys are amazing in your own resilience & courage! So many of you are living LOUD & BRAVE! 

I have realized that a lot of people did not know about many of the things I write about in the book that I have experienced, which shouldn't have come as a complete surprise to me, but it has been magnified as more people are getting the book and reading my story.  People have repeatedly written to me or come to me in person and said things like, “I had no idea you went through all that, I'm so sorry.” To that, I want to say, I greatly appreciate that sentiment, BUT I'm not sorry for any of it.  Was it painful? Yes. Did it suck at the time? Yes. However, I could never have become who I am today had it not been for those hard things. Do I wish there could have been a way for me to be who I am now without going through some of that hell? Probably, but that is not how life works. Growth does most often come through conflict, and I am not a victim of those times, while I might be a product of it in the ways that they made me strong, vocal, compassionate, empathetic, & self assured.
